My name is Fatima Farmer. I am a Certified Meditation Instructor, Clarity Coach, Influencer & Host of The SoulBeautyChat Podcast.
In July 2020, I decided to use my online platform, community & influence to launch a non-profit organization called "Soul Beauty Outreach".
SBO Mission Statement:
Healing, humanizing, and housing homeless women from ages 18+ up.
Providing women in transition with mental health support, faith guidance, and resources to shift their mindsets and build the confidence to change their lives.
Secretary | Christa McDowell is a devoted wife of 6 years and mother of 3 beautiful girls. She was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, where she attended primary school and attended church on a regular basis. After graduating high school, Christa matriculated at Morgan State University in Baltimore MD for 3 years before completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. Christa loves to sing, volunteer, and spend time with her family, and can be found doing all three past times at her church Union Baptist Church in Kenilworth, NJ. It has always been a goal of hers, to make a difference in the homeless community and to help remove some of the roadblocks that keep people bound in homelessness. Through Soul Beauty Outreach, Christa hopes to make an impact on many, but even if only one life is changed, it will be a great achievement.
Treasurer | Wakia Hayward is a professional certified life coach, career adviser, and mentor who is passionate about developing the confidence and resilience of women. Prior to starting her coaching and career advising career in 2016, Wakia spent over 17 years in Information Technology. Her lifelong passion for understanding the human condition and spiritual connection led her to become a life coach. She has a B.S in IT, a Master’s in Business, a Certified Life Coach with the Coach Training Alliance, a Certified Career Advisor, and Certified Mentor. She is currently pursuing her Empowerment Coach certification with Holistic Coach Academy. Wakia is a native of North Carolina and currently resides in the Baltimore area with her husband. She diligently practices daily habits of gratitude, kindness, and spiritual growth.
How Will We Serve?
1. The SBO currently offers virtual meditation, mindfulness, and journaling workshops to women staying in shelters in LA.
2. In 2021, The SBO will activate a 7-week transformational workshop to guide the women into holistic healing(mind, body, soul & spirit) while helping them develop confidence, find housing & build spiritual foundations through art therapy, nutritional guidance, financial advisement, mental health support, meditation classes, therapy, and more. Each woman will be assigned a caseworker to assist with finding permanent housing.
Why Am I Doing This?
I've always had a heart for helping the homeless. Maybe that's because I was nearly homeless myself once or maybe this is just what God placed me on the earth to change, either way...it's my life's purpose.
My mission is to connect, empower, and create through community and content.
One thing I've noticed after years of volunteering is that most programs for the homeless population focus on one thing, finding housing. Although this is a vital part of the process, I've noticed that beautification and rehabilitation of one's soul are often overlooked. Through my organization, I'm combining my 10+ years of digital marketing experience, my love for God, and holistic healing into the Soul Beauty Outreach non-profit, to transform the lives of homeless women around the US.
After years of helping women online and IRL build their faith & confidence I've decided to use my gifts to support homeless women. With your help, my team and I will use your donations to make the Soul Beauty Outreach an official non-profit organization, launch a high functioning website, activate a 7-week workshop with therapists & other health care professionals, and document the stories of the women in our first cohort.

Homelessness won't be eradicated overnight, but we hope that this non-profit will shift the narrative, humanize their stories, and plant the seed that may spark the change. We can't do this without you!
