#SOSCovidIndia MTA for Vicente Ferrer Foundation
The # COVID19 has returned with more virulence to India. The need for oxygen in hospitals is very high.
From Mondragon Team Academy and Travelling U’s community at MTA Berlin lab, we are collaborating with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation to support their mission to make sure that the hospitals have enough medical materials, oxygen supply and protective clothing for the staff.
We need your support to guarantee the medical care of their patients without depending on anyone and face this new wave of infections.

During the first lockdown, the COVID 19 help was more varied: Between March and October 2020 6200 patients were treated in the COVID-19 hospital of the foundation, more than 400.000 meals were distributed to daily wage labourers and migrants and more than 5,5 million cotton masks were produced and distributed in the area to front line workers and others.
Currently, the main objective of the work related to COVID -19 is to treat and care for infected people with severe symptoms. The foundation in India is running 3 hospitals and the biggest one was appointed as an exclusive COVID-19 hospital. In this COVID-19 hospital, there are 245 beds for patients (213 have oxygens supply) and more than 450 staff to take care of the patients. They are currently trying to find ways to be able to treat more patients, as the demand for medical help is growing.
