Sosbe Family

Time to show some theater family love to the Sosbe family! While we sit around worrying about Kevin, let's help the family out with expenses. You know the deal - insurance will pay what they want, when they want. Meanwhile, the kids are just trying to be kids and life goes on. So instead of cards or flowers, drop a dollar or two. All $$ goes to the Sosbe family.

Here's the story from Kevin:
Not what I had hoped to ever post, but here goes...

Tomorrow I go to in very early to Danbury Hospital to face what I can only hope is my last health hurdle for a long time. The battery of testing after my stroke revealed that I have inherited aggressive arterial sclerosis. Some of you know that my father left this world at age 44. At age 51, I have one artery that I'm told is mostly closed, and three more that are somewhere around 75% closed. If you are keeping score, that's a quadruple bypass procedure. Truth be told, I feel pretty good. Doctors are surprised to hear that I have no chest pain or complaints of shortness of breath. My prognosis without surgery is not promising. Perhaps the stroke will have had the outcome of saving my life. Even though they perform this surgery many times a day all over the world, it does not do much to alleviate my fear and anxiety. The kindness of friends has helped a lot, along with the desire to be here for my family, and everything I've yet to do. Tonight I will grill and cuddle with my family. I will likely be tagged in posts that will give updates. The surgery is several hours, so you won't hear much for a while. Please don't blow up Vicki's phone. I suspect I won't be clutching my phone until sometime later on Sunday, but hey, who knows. I'll will be in the joint for four or five days, I don't know for certain. Visitors will be welcome. Check with the wife or me, and don't bother with flowers, they'll only decorate the nurses station with them. I don't need words right now, but positive energy is most welcome. Keep me in your thoughts. See you in the funny papers. Peace love light.

P.S.- If anything happens to me, stay out of theaters, because I will haunt the shit out of them. All of them. Fair warning.
