SOS Heart of The Valley Gifts

On September 21, we suffered a devastating loss to our family owned and operated small businesses. They have two businesses on the property one being a cafe which sustained some damage. The other a twenty-eight-year-old family-owned-and-operated gift shop which was completely devastated. A total loss. Due to the tornadoes or severe thunder and weather watch in that area. It was completely leveled. Sadly this was the second time that this has happened. It feels like it was a war zone. There is nothing left. And there is so much loss. We first lost our gift shop 8 years ago due to an electrical storm that passed through dunrobin causing a fire which demolished are original gift shop. After many years we were able to rebuild but it took some time to rebuild our customers as well. It has been a long road. And this is just ultimately devastating. When we lost the original gift shop as many know, my mom the owner. Fell to her knees in the parking lot and had a heart attack. It is known as broken heart syndrome. She spent many weeks at the Ottawa Heart Institute. And recovered. But it took years for us to recover the gift shop and frankly it never really reached its stride that it had had prior to the fire. And now once we have just started to gain some kind of recovery. This has just devastated our small family-owned business. We are very proud people and they are extremely Community orientated. They are pillars in the community just recently raising over $6,000 for a local person as we do the best we can for our community when they need us. We are always trying to give back. As they have always done for us. Once again we ask for help. This is the ultimate of devastation. We were just bulking up our little gift shop for Christmas. As you know that can mean a lot of product. Which we have lost. I pray that if you can only donate a little a lot anything counts. And we really really truly hope to somehow open for Christmas. The Bowen family have gone through so much in this community and have endured as well as supported so many things. They need your help and support now.
