<div>O grupo SOS Gatinhos - Setúbal é um grupo de voluntárias que, perante o crescente abandono e falta de respostas para os animais nas ruas de Setúbal, uniu forças em 2019 para tentar ajudar os gatinhos da cidade, na medida das suas possibilidades. Não somos uma associação oficial nem temos abrigo.

<div>Tudo é feito caso a caso, com a ajuda que conseguimos e com recurso a FATs (famílias de acolhimento temporário). Atualmente, o nosso raio de ação estende-se também a Lisboa e arredores visto termos tido colaboração de FATs nessa zona. Por mais difícil que nos seja esta logística, tendo em conta que somos apenas 10 elementos que diariamente exercem a sua atividade profissional, são oportunidades que não podemos perder e vidas que dependem de nós!

<div>A nossa ação vai desde apoio na alimentação de colónias à gestão de FATs, prestação de cuidados médicos (através de veterinários), resgates, adopções, etc. Assim sendo, ao longo destes anos, temos tido várias despesas não só com alimentação mas também cuidados veterinários regulares, cirurgias, medicação e tratamentos.

<div>Neste momento são mais de 50 gatos ao nosso cuidado, com mais de 800 resgatados desde o ínicio, e as dívidas veterinárias continuam a acumular-se. Recebemos pedidos de ajuda constantes, mas não conseguimos ajudar mais gatinhos sem saldar as dívidas existentes. Cada euro faz a diferença e é um passo em direção à esperança de continuação da SOS Gatinhos.

<div>The SOS Gatinhos - Setúbal group is a group of volunteers who, faced with the growing abandonment and lack of answers for animals in the streets of Setúbal, joined forces in 2019 to try to help the city's cats to the extent of their possibilities. We're not an official rescue or shelter.

<div>Everything is done on a case-by-case basis, with the help we can get and through foster families. Currently, our radius of action also extends to Lisbon and surrounding areas, as we have had foster collaboration in that area. As difficult as the logistics of this is to us, given that we are only 10 people with full-time jobs, these are opportunities that we cannot lose and lives that depend on us!

<div>Our action goes from support in feeding colonies to managing fosters, providing medical care (through veterinarians), rescue operations, adoptions, etc. Therefore, over these years, we have had various expenses not only with food but also regular veterinary care, surgeries, medication and treatments.

<div>We currently have over 50 cats in our care, with over 800 rescued since the beginning, and the veterinary debts continue to pile up. We constantly receive requests for help, but we can't save any more cats without paying off our existing debts. Each donation makes a difference and is a step towards the hope of continuing to save lives through SOS Gatinhos.
