Sorren's Honduras Medical Trip

As many of you know, I have traveled to many amazing places in the past year, learning, volunteering, and meeting people in Central and South America and Spain before I started medical school at UC Davis SOM in July 2014. I am very lucky to have had your emotional support during these experiences, and I feel honored to have yet another opportunity:
From March 20-29 2015, the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Sacramento will be going on their 12th trip to Santa Barbara, Honduras, where UC Davis physicians and medical students will join Honduran physicians to treat 300-400 patients, PER DAY! This will be anything but a spring break, but an incredible learning opportunity for me and my fellow medical students. The community of Santa Barabara asks for UC Davis to return every year and we are more than happy to continue our amazing partnership. We are 29 students strong this year.
I would greatly appreciate if you can support in reaching my fundraising goal of $2300 by January 31st. That gives us 5 weeks to reach our goal! The bar is set high, but every little bit counts. No amount is too small to help us bring health resources and training to Honduras.
With your donation, it will not only fund logistical costs such as transportation, food, and lodging, but a substantial portion will go towards bringing medicines (pills to vaccines), medical equipment, dental supplies, eyeglasses, educational tools, and other items that are non-replenishable and limited in Honduras. If I am able to fundraise more than $2300, the extra funds will go towards helping a fellow medical student out. Everyone benefits!
