Sorin's Road to Recovery

Thank you to all our family and friends for the continued support over the past few weeks. Sorin is still in the hospital recovering from his injuries, looking forward to getting better and joining his friends for his Senior year of high school.
On July 25, 2019, Sorin was riding his bicycle down Western Avenue when he was struck by an SUV making an illegal left turn. Rather than stopping, the driver sped off before turning down the nearest alley. Although the driver hasn’t been found, we are grateful to the bystanders who acted and chased after the car.
The force of the collision shattered the windows of the SUV and Sorin was taken to the hospital in critical condition—suffering from a collapsed lung, facial fractures, and lacerations requiring more than 20 stitches.
During this time we are exploring options for financial assistance and as you can imagine, the medical bills are piling up. Any donation towards Sorin’s recovery would be greatly appreciated.
