I'm a normal teenage girl. I love to eat and travel, there is a teen heart throb who I'm in love with, family is very important to me, and I have a hobby that has now taken over my life. The only difference between me and some others is the difference that I want to make.
I want to go to Kenya this summer so I can learn how to change this world first hand and make it a better place. This trip would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to really help so many people, as I would get the chance to build a school as well as work within a community in the Maasai Mara region of Kenya. I've been involved with Free the Children for 3 years now and I want to take my journey with helping others to the next level.
For those of you who don't know what Free the Children is, they are an organization of children helping children in Third Work countries by providing access to education, clean water and health care.
How many times have we all thought about wanting to make a difference? Well I've thought it too many times and I'm now ready to do something about it. It would be a dream come true to help the lives of others who are not as fortunate as I am, and this trip is the start of all the good I know I can do. So please help me with a dream and the lives of those in need.
