Sophia's First Mission Trip :) Hope Of The Poor

Hello my lovely friends!
As many of you already know, I have not been able to sing and work due to health issues. I've provided more information about that situation below. It's been challenging to deal with, but God has been with me every step of the way! I think this whole thing has been a blessing in disguise... I've used this time to heal physically and grow spiritually, and as a result I've learned so much about myself! Not only do I have more faith in God and more love for others, but my priorities have completely changed! I still have at least a couple more months before I am able to sing for you beautiful people again, but in the meantime I have been called to dedicate my time to serving and helping others! God has put it on my heart to go to Omaha, Nebraska in May for a mission trip to work with an amazing organization called "Hope Of The Poor"! I want to help bring hope and assistance to those in need! But since I've been unable to work and have had my savings go to hospital bills and living expenses, I really need your help. So if God puts it on your heart today to donate to this mission, please give whatever you can to help me reach the amount I'll need to go! :)
I hate to ask for money. Many of you know I'm a private person who likes to be self reliant when possible, but I'm taking a leap of faith and at least leaving the option open to the people out there who are currently looking for a way to help me out during this tough time. I've struggled with my health a bit over the years and I'm blessed to be loved by a wonderful community of generous people as I'm finally able to address the health issues I've been trying to find answers to all of this time.
Like I've mentioned before there is nothing I want more than to help people in need, and now I have a more direct way of doing that! There are always people in more need than I am and honestly being in my position just makes me want to give to others more. I know that going through stressful situations can really be difficult and depress your soul. Fortunately God has saved me from falling apart, and so I'd love to spread the good news! I also think God is at work to bring some therapy to my soul with this experience because there's no greater joy than giving to others! So even if you'd just like to find a way to support me, please do so by helping me support others!
Health Update:
I have gone to Denver to see an ENT who diagnosed me with a thyroid tumor that is weakening a nerve in my vocal cords. He said that if I don't get it removed asap, I could get vocal paralysis. This is scary news to receive considering the fact that my voice is important for my career, but I am confident that God will pull me through this storm and restore me - or at least make something good out of an unfortunate situation. I trust Him with my current situation and future! I have a couple more weeks until the biopsy, and then my ENT advises surgery, but we will see what happens. I will keep you all posted.

You know who you are, and I will forever appreciate you and what you've done for me! I've got some angels looking after me for sure! So blessed to have a family of caring and giving fans and friends!
