Children of Africa GLA Ghana trip

Hi, my name is Sophia Ellavsky. I am trying to save and raise $7,500 to go to Ghana. I am traveling to Ghana in the summer of 2018 for 21 days with an organization called GLA; which stands for Global Leadership Adventures. These expensives cover my trips to and from Ghana and my tuition. The point of this trip to Ghana is to tutor children in nearby village schools, while helping to rebuild other schools at the same time. The schools in Ghana rely on volunteers to teach in these local schools, and I will be one of them. This trip has been a dream of mine for a very long time. My mom was a huge contributer to volunteer work. She always wanted to help people all around the world who are in need. After my mom died I have wanted to pursue her dream of helping as many people as I can.  I chose Ghana because no matter what troubles this country is going through they still are flooded with happiness.  Teaching,  helping other people, and children are some of the most important aspects of my life. This trip will not only change how I view the world I live in, but will put in perspective what a third world country truly lives like.  Any and all donations will not only help me pursue my dream, but it would mean the world to the kids who I am going to teach there.
