Missionary in Honduras for 2 years

My name is Sophia and I am raising money so I can become a long term missionary in Honduras for 2 years this August!

As a long-term Missionary in Honduras, I will be helping the people of Honduras for a long period of time while also living with them. In comparison to a two week trip like I went on earlier this summer, long term missionaries are able to make a larger impression on the hearts of the community because they live with the poor for years. As a long termer, I will be visiting the same houses, cities, orphanages, HIV clinics, retirement homes, and challenge youth houses as I did when I visited earlier this summer. I will also accompany and play with the same elderly and orphaned children and youth, but this time on a daily, long-standing basis. 
And I will be seeking only God's will for my life as I serve and live a simple, no-income lifestyle.

I will be working with Missioners of Christ while I am there. They have many of their own programs that benefit the people of Honduras that I, as a long term missionary, will be helping with. These programs include scholarship programs for children and their mothers, physical therapy classes, a scholarship program for university students, and youth retreats they put on right there in their own facilities.

So that you know what your money is going towards, the funds I am raising covers my room and board, travel, material costs, basic missionary health insurance, and language school.
