Sonoma Fire: Hardesty Family

Donation protected
The Hardesty family, Terry, Michelle, Nicole, Michael, & Kyle, have lost nearly everything in the Sonoma/Tubbs California fire. They have lost their house and possessions, cars, horse trailer... Tragically they also lost their 31 year old Appaloosa horse, Mert.

When they were evacuated at 1 am, Nicole and one of her sons went to the farm about a mile from their home to get their horse and goats. Unfortunately when she was hooking up the horse trailer the fire blew in and the trailer caught fire. She had to leave the animals behind and she and her son had to drive through the flames to escape. Thankfully they are both ok. The goats survived, although 2 are in critical condition, and all are at the vet receiving care. Mert wasn't so lucky and perished in the fire. He was much beloved and had been a member of their family for a long, long time.

It's hard to fathom what they are going through and what the road ahead will bring. Please help them to rebuild their lives, replace lost necessities such as clothing, and cover the costs for much needed medical care for their goats. Any little bit helps!
