Sonoma County, CA Flood Response
Tax deductible
Dorothy Maples, the Operations Director and Hayley Kaup, the Logistics Coordinator are here to raise money for NECHAMA's Sonoma County, CA Flood Response Project!
On Monday February 25th, 2019, a slow moving storm made its way into the West Coast bringing heavy rainfall that spread across Northern and Central California.
Sonoma County was hit the hardest with an estimated 2,000 damaged homes. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department issued an evacuation of 3,500 residents.
Dorothy and Hayley have been welcomed with open hearts in the Guerneville and Monte Rio area, where many homes were destroyed. We have truly fell in love with this community and wish to stay as long as we are can to help the folks we have met that have been impacted by the flooding of the Russian River.
We have a goal of $5,000, but with everyone's help, we know we can accomplish our goal!
For every $200 we raise- Dorothy and I will do a variety of outrageous and hilarious things, like plank in the produce section at Safeway or dance to Africa by Toto at the gas station and more!
AND- We will do even more outrageous things when we hit our 3 major goals below:
$1,000: Dorothy will roll around in a pile of mud!
$2,500: Hayley will color her hair blue!
$5,000: Dorothy and Hayley will do the ice (muck) bucket challenge in the downtown square of Guerneville!
