Hi my name is Sidney, Sonny’s wife of 25 years…….
We are facing a life crisis situation. Sonny needs a heart valve transplant in order to live. He has congestive heart failure. His lungs filled with fluid they did emergency intervention in the ER . He lived. However he will have another event and continue to fill with fluid. Without the transplant he will literally drown. Death would be a matter of minutes. To compound the situation he had his first crisis July, 2016 and has had numerous serious episodes of life threatening events ever since. I have not been able to work for over a year and a half because he requires 24/7 home care from me. I lovingly take care of him and we do our best to survive. But life can sometimes be cruel and we found that our home had been invaded with black mold, we lived with it for a very long time before it was identified. The house was deemed uninhabitable and we lost everything. Since then we have been living without our safety net of savings plus we lost the equity in our house.
Now we are facing the dark reality of being seriously financially challenged unable to pay the mounting medical bills as well as the monthly household expenses that we all have. The heart valve transplant will require me to care for him because his health issues are complicated.
Sonny is a distinguished veteran and a wonderful human being. Won’t you please find it in your heart to help us get through this crisis.
