STAND BY SONJA!!!

THE BACK STORY
Sonja has been battling kidney cancer since 2014. In 2016, scans revealed the kidney cancer had metastasized to various organs, as well as to her lymph nodes. Colon cancer was also detected. Sonja has had to be completely off work for months, with no return date yet in sight. Despite suffering from both her illness and the side effects of treatment, she has held onto her sense of humour and is quick to offer a smile or laugh. She says she misses us all dearly and we feel the same about her! Anyone who knows Sonja knows how hard it is for her to be away from her second family and from doing all the things she loves-not only work related, of course!

WHAT SHE MEANS TO US
Sonja is THAT person who always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel valued and special. She readily takes on projects that make a difference in peoples lives-from transforming the family suite where we work to make it into a welcoming place for children to visit their families they are unable to live with for a time, to making holiday parties magical-cue the lights and music, to enhancing the recreational room for youth. Undoubtedly she would do anything for her family and friends, four legged ones that meow included...and most certainly for strangers as well.

WHAT SHE NEEDS
Sonja needs our help immediately!
The bills and expenses are piling up and making a very distressing situation even more difficult. Sonja needs us to go above and beyond for her, as she has, or would do, for so many...she needs our help to cover the costs of ensuring the continuation of her medical benefits, in addition to other bills and income due to a loss of income.
