Ms. Sonja Gatling is an instructor for UEI College Stockton, she also taught in Encino for several years. Ms, Gatling moved to Northern CA in September with her family.
At 2:28 a.m. on Sunday morning firefighters responded to a call to Ms. Gatling's home. a car lost control and collided with a large palm tree before catching fire and sending flames from the car to the tree to her home. Ms. Gatling and her family managed to leave the home safely but have now been displaced due to the home being set on fire. The Red Cross Bay Area staff are assisting with the family's displacement and providing a place for them to stay. unfortunately they have lost the majority of their belongings such as clothing, toiletries, shoes, etc.
