Sonica’s eye surgery and medication

Hello all, first I’d like to thank you for visiting our go fund me to learn more about why we are raising money to allow our baby hedgehog to receive the proper care she deserves.

Sonica is about 12 months now and has been Greg and me’s perfect hedgie. She knows our scents well, loves her belly rubs,  and as of recent loves to munch on her crickets. We’ve grown to love her dearly and are hoping we can get her back to her healthy self.

Unfortunately less than 24 hours ago we noticed her eye had swelled and began to ooze. We immediately looked into proper exotic veterinary care. At the vet, we were given the unpleasant news that Sonica’s eye had detached from her eye socket and we have no choice but to eventually remove the eye. There is an alternative to surgery which is allowing Sonica to take her eye out on her own meanwhile letting nature do it’s thing —but that seems very painful and unbearable to us but especially for her.

We are raising money for her surgery to remove her eye properly. The cost of the surgery includes : medications, the surgery itself, after care medication, and stitches. We were given a quote of 1500.
