Sonia Mireles Memorial Fund

With heavy hearts, shock, devastation, and many tears, family and friends grieve the sudden loss of Sonia Mireles - an amazing woman dedicated to working hard for her children and grandchildren to make a better life for them.  Sonia passed away suddenly yesterday at the young age of 52  in McAllen, TX after suffering a sudden massive hemmorrhagic stroke.  She worked honest, hard labor 7 days a week, cleaning for others, cooking, doing laundry, going above and beyond to help others in their times of need in order to raise her family, and she always did it with a smile.  Sonia scrimped and saved her whole life to provide food and a roof over their heads and clothes for school for her children.  Sonia was there for me and my family to help with so many things when my mom was ill and dying of cancer, after she died, and when my sister was battling breast cancer, and also helping me and so many others - always dedicated, reliable, caring, and trustworthy.  She was more than a worker - she was a friend that we love and will never forget.  Our lives are forever changed because of Sonia's presence, and we will never be the same because of the great, tragic loss of this loving, dedicated woman.  She has been and inspiration to all of us.
This fund is to help her family pay for funeral expenses, and to provide her children with the school supplies, books, clothes, shoes, and expenses for school.  This is the biggest honor we can convey for this wonderful mother who worked her whole life for her children.  Any extra funds will be put in savings accounts for the 3 younger children who will be cared for by Sonia's daughter, in addition to her own children.  Sonia's daughter (her namesake) will be handling the final expenses.
