Beloved Family,
I am so excited about what God is doing in my life! I have been singing and playing for over 30 years and God has been speaking into me for YEARS about recording the music He has given me. I went into the studio last year recording a new project, Songs From My Journal, with my dear friend Edwin Hawkins as my Producer. Sadly, Edwin passed away this past January and I couldn’t even think about resuming the project. Until now.
I have moved forward, in total faith, deciding to do a live recording to finish out the project. This project has come together from identifying the venue, to the musicians, to the background vocals, to the special guests. Everything has come together!
The live recording that was originally scheduled for August 11 had to be pushed back. I had emergency surgery that required me to REST and heal completely, but the new date of SEPTEMBER 22 is on, rehearsals are well underway and excitement and gratitude is in the air!!!
Thank you so much for the prayers, the encouragement and all the “reach outs” that have confirmed that this live recording is ordained. Many of you have asked – “How can I help, how can I sow into the project?”
Here is how! Of course with any live recording, there are expenses, and this is no different. It has been a leap of faith. No benefactors underwriting the costs. But God continues to reassure me all would be provided to make it an amazing testimony to the faithfulness of God!
I have created a Go Fund Me page for those who are interested in sowing into the project. No amount is too small! Every donation matters!!
