My name is Lucy Sessions and I am raising funds to record and produce the songs I have written in honour of the memory of my darling daughter Issa Ixchel, who very sadly passed away unexpectedly in 2020.

The money raised will go towards the recording, mixing & mastering of my songs, plus the production costs.

To ac​company the album​, I aim to fund the making of a documentary about my story as a singer and mother, and how I have come to sing my grief. In light of how inept we are as a society in dealing with profound loss​, ​I want to ​d​elve into how the expressive arts, particularly music and writing​, can help us communicate, transmute and ultimately alchemize the acute pain of grief and loss. These songs have been born of my grief and of my love and I hope they will reach the ears of those who need them most. They are the legacy of my daughter, Issa Ixchel. They will be free to download for all.
