Songs For Bleeding Hearts

I've been playing songs from HEADMILES and SINNERS COME AND GO around this beautiful country, building my chops, meeting amazing people and growing my lovely audience. Now it's time to get back in the saddle and make record #3! This album will be a collection of original songs of wonder, mystery, and melancholy with an intimate folky feel. These songs are deeply personal and close to my heart.  I've been writing a lot on the guitalele, which is basically a guitar the size of a ukelele. (For musos it's the equivalent of putting a capo on the 5th fret.) This beautiful instrument gives a sweet, almost classical sound, which compliments and contrasts my low-down smoky vocals. I've been writing in different styles, taking new approaches due to the sounds and textures the guitalele brings. I'm also challenged by my limitations as a guitarist, but this can also be a good thing, as it brings out the unexpected! The funds from this campaign will go towards studio hire, engineering, mixing, session musicians, CD manufacturing, merchandise and marketing costs. If you're able to throw a few coins in the jar, I will gladly share the fruits of this project with you, including artwork hand painted/ drawn/ designed by yours truly and a few special guests.  This really will be my most vulnerable, honest and precious work to date.
