<div>Hi, my name is Brian. My wife Lanisa and I have an unbelievably smart, funny and energetic son who just turned four. We took our son in for an early four-year checkup due to some concerns, which led to an x-ray of his chest. His pediatric doctor walked in and sat down to tell me that there was something not normal in his chest area and to go straight home and pack for a stay at the Children's Hospital. Blood test results confirmed on his 4th birthday that it was Acute Lymphoblastic T-Cell Leukemia; any parent's worst nightmare. One day we woke up to another typical day of fun-filled activities. The next day, we woke up in a children's hospital, told by a team of doctors that our son has a huge collection of t-cells enlarging his thymus which was pressing on his heart and airway. Our lives were flipped upside down. We were in the hospital for over a week and are now home doing outpatient treatment. The overall treatment plan is over two years long. We don't know the total costs when the bills are processed through insurance. My wife and I took leave from work to be there around the clock for our son during this "induction period" of treatment. Not only have we introduced new bills like prescriptions, outpatient treatment, imaging costs and all the unexpected expenses along the way, but we now will be without pay or with reduced income for some time. We have many amazing friends and family who have helped us in many ways, but we need help from anyone who can donate. We are not the type to ask for handouts, but we also know the power of community and love. Please, if you can, in any way, help us out. We sincerely believe that everything happens for a reason, and God will always have our back. Our faith has only grown stronger during this season of life we are entering. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and our amazing family and friends. We feel the love and angels around us. If you cannot donate, please say a prayer and keep us in your thoughts.
