Devin Diaz

Devin is 17 and the oldest of 4 children. He’s a senior this year. He attended San Joaquin Memorial High School (SJM) for 2 1/2 years and is working to return to graduate. He wants nothing more than to return, so he came up with a couple of fundraisers to help out and get back into SJM. While doing so he was faced with how ugly life can really be. No child or parent should face. Thursday evening while he was minding his own business making an honest dollar in our neighborhood a low life punk felt entitled to his hard earn things. With an arm around his neck and a knife in his back Devin handed his belongings and cash over. Scared for his life but still thinking to protect the family my Devin ran the opposite direction from our house. Devin suffered a couple of minor stab wounds, one requiring a stitch. He’s more upset of the set back and is looking for more opportunities to recover his cell phone and money.

Devin is a good respectful young man trying so hard. He was doing nothing wrong. Wrong place wrong time. We’ve started this to help recover his lose, get him back.
