Sometimes Heroes Need Help Too

Donation protected
At 2am Monday morning, Michael and Jenny Weiss grabbed their sleeping 2- and 4-year old children, got in one of their cars and left their house with just the clothes on their backs as the raging Santa Rosa fire appeared over a nearby ridge. They returned a few hours later to discover their home was gone, completely burned to the ground... The kitchen where we laughed and shared stories over wine... gone. The living room where we laughed and cried when they announced they were expecting their first child (our first grandchild!) one Christmas... gone. The lovingly groomed yard where Jenny patiently taught Kylie and Jackson to tend to their vegetable garden... gone.
The photo above shows all is left of the house is appliances standing in the rubble, and Michael's scorched truck.
Michael is my husband's son, he is also a proud firefighter and paramedic in the City of Santa Rosa, the City where he lost his house to the fire. While money alone will not replace all that they have lost, it will help ease their pain as they begin to rebuild a life. Attempting to give young Kylie and Jackson a sense of normalcy will be critical in these next few weeks, therefore please be assured that these funds will be used directly for both short and long term needs as Michael and Jenny figure out their temporary and future housing situation as well as what to do next.
They lost everything and have given so much, let's come together to be the foundation to help them rebuild their lives.
