Something For Sue

Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far.  It's been a heartfelt and amazing response.  I've updated our goal to $10,000 as we already have over $7000 You're probably wondering how the funds get to Sue.  GoFundMe work with 'Stripe' and the money goes into a payment account that has been set up.  When we're ready to do a withdrawl, Mick & Sue provide me with their bank details and a transfer is done.  The money is for the Sowry family and to be used for whatever they need during this challenging time.  Once again, thankyou so much for your support.  Anna

As friends and family of Mick & Sue Sowry you would know that they are currently dealing with the sudden and shocking news that Sue has advanced pancreatic cancer that is inoperable.  Sue has started chemotherapy treatment to 'buy her some time.'  Unless you've been down this road yourself it is hard to know, as a friend or family member, what you can do to help.  I was unsure too, so I had a chat with Joey, Mick & Sue's son, to see if he thought that on a practical level, financial assistance would be helpful. He agreed that it would certainly take some pressure off the family.  This would also help Mick be available to Sue during her treatment.  Hopefully this can also alleviate any stress or worries for Sue.  I've chosen a random amount as our goal. If we get more great, if we don't reach the goal that's fine too. Every bit helps.
