Hello, my name is Christe Grobe and I am the daughter to an amazing woman that I am so lucky to call my momma. To others she is just Libby Adams from Buford GA, but to me and all people who have had the opportunity to experience her joy, love and laughter she is so much more than just “Libby Adams”.
My Mom is a very beautiful, warm-hearted individual and if you ever have the chance to meet her she is the type of person you won't be able to forget. She has been my guiding light and my biggest fan for my entire life. She means the world to me and I can't sit back and do nothing while she goes through this battle.
Now, let me give you a little information on what is going on. My momma started feeling a little more weak around the middle of July, she just thought it was from spending her days playing with her daycare kids that she thinks the world of. The dizziness and swelling in her stomach began around the first of July, after visiting her regular doctor she ended up in the ER where her CAT scan showed a mass in her lower abdomen. After momma returned home she received more heartbreaking news, she has a spot on her breast that her doctor wanted to look more into. Momma went to multiple oncologist where time after time she was turned away because they didn’t take her insurance which became more and more frustrating with each doctor visit. On the day of her surgery she was told that the cancer had spread more than the doctors thought and are now starting her on a chemo plan to hopefully shrink the growing spots. They will check her again in nine weeks to see if the surgery is the next best option for her.
I don't think I have ever had so much emotion run through my body like I did at that very moment when I realized that my momma has a fighting chance to beat this horrible thing!
So, all of this brings me here today. My Mother is a FIGHTER. She WILL fight this cancer and she WILL give it everything she has. I want to make sure that is the ONLY thing that she worries about.. not bills, not insurance, not money.. just her fight against the horrible "C" word. I can't even begin to thank everyone enough for all the prayers and support that we have received thus far in our journey and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to stop by this page!
