Somebody to Love (2022) Film Festival Fundraising!
Somebody to Love follows the stories of four college students as they navigate identity, family, love, and trauma through a loss that intertwines their fates into a mosaic of the queer experience.
Written and Directed by Christopher Beytia Frentzel, the film tackles themes such as sexual assault, depression and anxiety, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and internalized/externalized homophobia.
This film is a love letter to LGBTQ youth and persons with mental health issues; who find themselves struggling with these issues alone, and serves as a reminder that one can choose their own family.
Now that the film is FINISHED, we need YOUR contributions to help fund our submissions to film festivals as well as travel fees to these festivals around the country and world.
When you support the making of this movie, you are helping us tell an authentic story that shines a light on LGBTQ voices, uplifting them and giving them the representation they deserve, both on screen and behind the camera. You are also helping by spreading mental health awareness and working towards reducing the negative stigma that revolves around mental health.
The funds donated will help fund Somebody to Love's festival submission fees as well as travel costs for our team to visit and represent to the film all over the country and world to share the film's poignant story to audiences everywhere. By contributing to this film, you help us network and showcase our project in hopes to find wide distribution.
