******CAMPAIGN UPDATE*****

The Somatic Experiencing Working Group for Racial Justice is beyond thrilled and grateful for your generosity and support.

We reached our $10,000 within 24 hours which shows us how ready the SE community is to support SE students who are Black, Indigenous and People of Color.

In this spirit, we are going to raise our goal to $17,000 which would mean we could provide scholarships to all 22 of our applicants.

We thank you so much and encourage you to keep sharing with SE colleagues and spreading the word.

*********************
There is a heavy load of trauma communities of color worldwide have faced and are facing due to the intergenerational traumas of racism, colonization, and slavery.  It is especially important for practitioners within these communities to be able to access SE training and resources.

We are passionate about making sure these communities are seen and well served because we know that SE is a brilliant and effective tool for building resilience.  We are stepping up to help make sure Black, Indigenous and People of Color are supported as SE students.

The Somatic Experiencing Working Group for Racial Justice (SERJ) has received 22 scholarship applications to support BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) to attend SE training.   In collaboration with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute we have 5 half-scholarships to distribute.

We are launching a month long fundraising campaign to raise $10,000+ so that we can offer 10 additional scholarships of $1,000 each towards SE tuition for BIPoC SE students.

We will fund more BIPoC scholarships with your help.
We invite you to contribute the amount you charge for one SE session.
More if you can.

SERJ is raising these funds in the spirit of reparations and while we understand nothing can make up for slavery, structural racism and genocide, reparations are a specific and tangible economic action we can do right now to support deeper healing and authentic repair.

This scholarship fund is part of the larger SERJ efforts to address:
* Anti-oppression training and education at all levels of the SETI institution
* The integration of necessary skills/theory on social trauma into the SE curriculum
* BIPoC recruitment and retention at all levels of SE

Thank you for your support.  We are grateful for your contribution and are inspired to watch how our SE community is stepping up to create more equity, access and acknowledgment of racialized trauma.
