Along this journey, we reach the time now when Solomon is 8 years old and undergoing surgery for this condition. The procedure requires them to make incisions in the pelvis region, enter through his Femoral Arteries to gain access to his heart, and use radio frequency ablation to eliminate the extra pathway. This procedure as you can imagine is quite risky and is not fully covered by insurance, leaving out of pocket medical expenses. The success rate is 85 to 90% of all patients will successfully have this corrected and begin to function normally. Solomon is that 15%. During post recovery, they identified through an EKG that this extra pathway had formed again and the procedure did not hold. The doctor performed the surgery well and Solomon is recovering but they failed to get the pathway and now Solomon will have to go through the procedure once again.
The purpose of this GoFundMe account is to raise money to support and care for this family who is in great need. Solomon’s life is number one priority and we feel the need to band together to ease the burden financially for this family. If you can donate, please do, and know that every penny counts. Help us to reach our goal and bless this family in need. Without your help, they cannot do it alone. Most of all your prayers and best wishes for Solomon’s repeat surgery and recovery are desired. Thank you and help us bless them in their future journey. Come together and let’s help mend Solomon’s beautiful heart!
