My name is Camden Grant, I am an 8th Grade student at Randall Middle School in Lithia, FL. A few months ago, I attended Booker T Washington Elementary for a day of volunteering. The goal was to teach students a lesson about fables. After reading individually to students, I could tell how special this was to them. They had such big smiles on their faces because of something so simple; a few volunteers and some books made these little people so happy. Within minutes of finishing the day, I knew I had to get involved. After lots of brainstorming, the idea for "Soles Shaping Souls" was formed.
"Soles Shaping Souls" is a donation drive in hopes of gaining enough funds to provide each student at Booker T Washington Elementary (a diverse group of children from families with sometimes challenging financial struggles) a BRAND NEW pair of SOLES before summer break so that their SOULS can run, jump and play all summer!
