Soldiers stationed in Puerto Rico

Donation protected

U.S. Soldiers are among the millions of people affected by the life-threatening aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Often times military members are those helping to support during natural disasters, but for those who are stationed or work in a Reserve status on the island, they are the very ones who remain without electricity or clean water and food. Please consider supporting the troops who remain in place. I am in the U.S. Army, stationed in Pittsburgh, and am in contact with a captain stationed in Puerto Rico with her spouse. They are alive, but have intermittent availability to communicate. She said she and her husband received water through the window, but did expound on any other comforts or emergencies they are facing as they move into the second week without power. Both of their vehicles were submerged during the influx and they have yet to see what else they have lost. I would like to start this fund to support my friends, as well as my brothers and sisters in arms. I will be contacting my network of service members to see how best to help. Right now it seems like my hands are tied with no way to offer support. Many soldiers have lived and worked in austere environments and may have the ability to draw from that training to remain resilient in these trying times. However, having to live through it with family members next to you and without access to basic needs is an entirely different story. All funds will go in direct support to Soldiers, their families and/or military emergency aid funds on base. Any amount would be helpful.

* I will personally collect funds and then transfer to CPT Maria Harrigan, who is stationed in PR, as she cannot do the phone verification with current connectivity in the island. Currently I am sending personal funds, waiting on Go Fund Me to release funds.
