Solar Panels AMR Sisters Zimbabwe

In 2010 and 2011 I had the ultimate adventure to serve with 2 other volunteers in Zimbabwe. The mission trip was 8 months long and assisted the Ancillae Mariae Reginae (AMR) Sisters. The majority of our work involved restoring a deteriorating boarding school.
The AMR Sisters are a thriving religious order who do enormous amounts of work with the people of Zimbabwe by running hospitals and boarding schools.
The superior of an AMR convent wrote to me recentley stating one of their missions was without power. She asked if I knew of a way to assist them in attaining solar panels. I asked how the solar panels will benefit the mission and the superior replied to my inquiry of
by stating.
"For the sisters it will benefit us because we will be able to have our privacy as nuns. For example we go 2.5 kilometers to put some meat in the fridge. This is not safe and its still a rural area so it not safe for us to be in the dark..."
The solar panels would be able to help the sisters have greater security, access to water and be able to help the children at the school.
The current cost for solar panels is $4,600.00. It would be beneficial for the sisters to recieve these in the next 1-3 months.
On a personal level the sister treated us volunteers with the utmost repsect and familial hospitality. This fundraiser is a way for me to give back to the sisters and help the poor in Zimbabwe.
Your support would be greatly apprecated by the sisters and members of the mission who are currentley without power. 5 dollars or even a dollar would help us reach our goal and bring opportunities to those in Zimbabwe.
