Solar Scholars: Empowering Education in Zambia

Tax deductible
Education is the key to a brighter future—but what happens when students are left in the dark?

At Raising a Scholar, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn, regardless of circumstances. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to ensuring equal access to education for all students. Through our tutoring, mentoring, and scholarship programs, we empower students to succeed academically and beyond.
However, for many students at Kids Voice Africa (KIVA) in Zambia, a lack of electricity is creating a major barrier to learning. Unreliable power disrupts their education, making it difficult to attend virtual sessions, complete assignments, and engage in learning activities after sunset.
No student should have to choose between their education and circumstances beyond their control.

Our mission is to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed—starting with reliable access to electricity.
To make this a reality, we are raising $5,000 to install solar panels at KIVA, providing students with a safe, sustainable, and uninterrupted source of power for learning.
With your support, we can light up classrooms, power their education, and create lasting change for these students

Meet the Future Leaders of KIVA!
At KIVA, students work hard every day, despite the obstacles they face. They are passionate about learning and determined to change their future. Reliable electricity will mean:

More study hours to improve their academic performance.
Uninterrupted learning that ensures consistency in their education.
Safe and sustainable power that creates a long-term impact for their school.
Your donation isn't just helping with electricity—it's empowering the next generation of leaders.

Why Your Support Matters:

75% of rural Zambian schools lack reliable electricity.
Unreliable power interrupts learning and student progress.
Access to electricity can increase study hours by 1,000+ hours annually.
Solar energy offers a sustainable, long-term solution, expanding access to education while also promoting environmental sustainability.

Education is a right, not a privilege. But for many students in Zambia, the lack of power is a daily barrier. By donating today, you are giving them the tools they need to succeed.
How Your Contribution Helps
Every donation—no matter the size—brings us closer to lighting up a classroom and changing lives.
