Hello! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jess Hess. I am a writer foremost, and singer second-most, and a maker of pretty things like journals and pictures third-most. I am from Lancaster, Pa originally, studied opera for a few breaths of my life at Westminster Choir College, and now have been living and adventuring in Nashville, Tn for a few years.

I am SO excited to officially announce to everyone that I have an album coming out! It's called Soil in the Rain, and it has been the biggest labor of love of my whole life! I wrote these songs in the many bedrooms I've had in my life, and maybe one or two musty practice rooms. I am giddy thinking about sharing it with you all, but we still have a lot to do before that happens. In order to make my goals and get the best product to you in the timeliest manner possible, I need a little bit of help. Mastering the audio and printing the CDs is going to take money. Putting the album up for streaming, and doing a video are hopes of mine, as well. It all depends on how much we can raise, really. The more money we have to put into this project, the more amazing it will be for everyone! And, by donating you'll be pre-ordering the album, and will get to hear it before anyone else! There are also lots of things I want to make as rewards for donating. I would just be so thankful if you donated. It would mean the absolute world.  I cannot thank everyone in my life enough for being as supportive as you have been!! Thank you!

I've been extremely lucky. This album is honestly a dream come true that I didn't know was possible for me. I can't thank Steve enough, he has not only been the best roommate and friend a person could imagine these last few years, but he has also arranged and recorded the entire album. Living in Nashville and making music with him has been a dream. I really don't know how I got so lucky, but here we are! And we are about to release an album!!
