Our organization, Our Sons of Fairview Higher Education Scholarship Fund was established to assist the underserved population of young men of color in the Fairview/White Plains area of New York.
We are doing our small part by providing educational opportunities (accredited or vocational) for young men who may otherwise view their future goals as impossible.
Research and current events proves that there is a huge need for us to extend a loving hand and impact the lives of these young men.
According to the NAACP, in 2008, the imprisoned population is comprised of 58% of African Americans and Latinos while making up only one quarter of the US population.
We can no longer afford to fold our hands, point fingers, or ignore the facts. The time for action is now.
We believe that by helping to educate our youth one young man at a time; we will ensure the strengthening of our communities by developing honorable tax paying citizens and increasing the number of strong and happy families.
Please help us in our goal of raising $100,000 for the education of our sons.
