The fields to the south of Folders Lane, Burgess Hill need to be protected from development. The South of Folders Lane Action Group (SOFLAG) has been defending these fields for over 15 years but, for the first time, finds it necessary to engage professional help to mount an effective defence against the latest attempt to list the remaining fields for development.
SOFLAG needs to raise substantial funds now in order to employ professional help to make the best possible case for saving the fields from development. We are appealing to local residents for contributions towards the costs. Please bear in mind that the addition of the proposed further large housing developments would adversely affect the congested local roads as well as adding to the pressure on the local infrastructure, (schools, doctors etc.).
