Sock Walk 2017 - Downtown Eastside

Drawing great inspiration from my dear friend Matt Do, for the holiday season this year I've decided to organize an event through which we can give back to our community.

The Downtown Eastside is home to thousands that will be passing the winter months in the cold and on the streets. We are fortunate enough to be in a position where we can make a contribution in assisting the well-being of others, however big or small.

I am collecting money for the purchase of warm wool socks and sandwich tokens to distribute through the Downtown Eastside on Sunday November 26, 2017 @ 1PM.

-Money will be allocated so we can distribute ONE pair of socks and ONE Save On Meats Sandwich token per individual.

This is our city; the residents of the Downtown Eastside are Vancouverites like you and I. I will personally be putting up $500 towards the purchase of socks and tokens to jumpstart the Walk.

All donations are greatly appreciated. What's also appreciated is distribution of the gofundme link to any friends, family, or business associates who you think may be interested in supporting the cause. Also, anyone who wishes to join the actual walk is welcome to do so and can reach out to me directly for the itinerary.
