Sober October for GBHS #ChangeStartsNow

Hi friends!

I am participating in #soberoctober to raise money to benefit the Guelph Black Heritage Society, to support their #ChangeStartsNow educational campaign. #ChangeStartsNow will provide educational programming on Black history and culture as well as relevant resources on diversity, discrimination and anti-racism. These programs include:

-"GBHS Top 100 educational resources", which is a list of GBHS-recommended resources (books, movies, etc.) for those seeking factual, curated information on Black history and issues
- Online educational and cultural events
- Development of booklet on local Guelph/Wellington Black History; Educational and cultural programming at Heritage Hall
- Establishment of the Flora Francis Memorial Library of Black Literature
- An online directory of Black owned and operated businesses in Guelph/Wellington and Waterloo Region.

The goal of the campaign is to raise $135,00  (representing $1 for every Guelphite) by December 1, 2020. Visit guelphblackheritage.ca for more information.

Any donation will help make an impact! Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
