<div>We are <strong>BETH AND NATASHA PERKIN</strong>, sisters and <strong>WRITER/DIRECTORS</strong>. We were part of the Behind the Scenes and social media teams for the HBO show We Are Who We Are, and Lena Dunham’s upcoming film Catherine, Called, Birdy respectively.

<div>Our first narrative short, a comedy called <strong>SEEING READ</strong>, stars up-and-coming actresses <strong>ISIS HAINSWORTH</strong> and <strong>TESSA BONHAM JONES</strong>, and is currently in <strong>POST-PRODUCTION</strong>.

<div>Our second short, <strong>SO, FAR SO GOOD </strong>- another narrative comedy - is in <strong>PRE-PRODUCTION </strong>and will star the one and only <strong>JACK DYLAN GRAZER</strong>, who we met on our first BTS job.

<div>After accidentally throwing a bottle through a stranger's window, an American teenager finds himself chased by the angry British homeowner through the streets of <strong>SOUTH LONDON</strong>. As he runs, monologuing to camera as he goes, we start to see through his wise-cracking defences.

<div><strong>INSPIRATION AND LOOK</strong>

<div>The film will be a one shot - or at least made to look like one - and will look to films like Goodfellas, Boogie Nights and 1917<strong> </strong>to achieve this effect.

<div>The script will be partly improvised, drawing on the likes of the irreverent comedy classic Curb Your Enthusiasm for inspiration. Grosse Pointe Blank’s overly verbose, too-smart-for-his-own-good hero, Martin Blank, will also serve as an important reference point for Witter.

<div>Breaking the fourth wall is integral to this story and we want to do it in a way that doesn’t feel gimmicky. We will therefore look to another John Cusack classic, High Fidelity, along with Fight Club and Wolf of Wall Street, to make sure we strike the right tone.

<div>Leaning into the film’s punky, skater aesthetic, films like Lords of Dogtown, Mid 90s, Kids, Slacker and Point Break will also serve as vital visual touchstones.

<div><strong>SOUND DESIGN </strong>is an integral part of the film. Much like Baby in Baby Driver, our main character listens to music in his earphones, which provides much of the film’s drama. As Witter runs away from his angry pursuer, his earphones keep falling out, the music dipping in and out. Two earphones in will sound louder than just the one, when both are out it will just be tinny. The volume will dip and soar - the song will even accidentally switch at one point, taking us all the way back to the start.

<div><strong>JACK DYLAN GRAZER </strong>is an actor known for his starring roles in It, Shazam!, Pixar's Luca, Beautiful Boy and Ron's Gone Wrong.

<div><strong>CAITLIN GRIFFITHS </strong>is the PRODUCER of <strong>SO FAR, SO GOOD</strong>. She turned her hand to filmmaking after leaving her job as a doctor in the NHS, realising her passions lay outside of clinical medicine. She holds a degree in anthropology, and loves working on creative projects that communicate the nuance of human connection and shared experience. She was <strong>1st AD</strong> on <strong>SEEING READ</strong>, and is excited to take on more responsibility and have more creative input as a producer on this next film.

<div><strong>JONATHAS NAZARETH</strong> is a Brazilian-American <strong>CINEMATOGRAPHER</strong>, he holds a BFA in painting from the School of Visual Arts in New York and a master's in cinematography from the University of London. Jon has created campaign films and videos for brands like Valentino, Tiffany &amp; Co. and Sephora. Jon’s last 2 films have been screened at over 20 film festivals around the U.S. &amp; Europe.
