Help a deaf rescue pup (Snow) with training
Donation protected
I recently adopted a year old puppy named Snow. She is a super sweet pit bull mix who loves to snuggle and play with other dogs. She is also deaf.
Her previous owners were unhoused and reached out for help after Snow was hit by a car and suffered injuries that they didn’t have the means or capacity to care for. She is now fully recovered.
Until recently she was living outside and is used to having someone with her all the time. She has a lot of separation anxiety and when left alone will cry for hours and rip up the walls. To temporarily deal with this situation I have been taking her to dog daycare while I am at work. She is learning that she can have fun when I'm not there and becoming comfortable and secure in her new environment. She is also doing basic dog training and is a quick learner. She has an appointment in early December to get spayed at the spay and neuter clinic through Seattle Animal Shelter.
As a longer term solution for her separation anxiety, we are going to begin working with weekly with a trainer, with the goal of being able able to work up to leaving her alone for a longer period of time.
I am currently working two jobs but recently had to pay for car repairs and don't have the money to give Snow the training and care that she needs. I am reaching out to friends, family, and community and asking for help. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a breakdown of costs:
$159 dog training basic manners class
$174 Spay
$660 - 20 day pass to daycare
$960 - Separation anxiety training - 17 total sessions)
Thank you for your support.
