Hello everyone, my family and I are reaching out to you for your support. Our dog Snowball has a mass on his rear that has grown rapidly and is the size of a tennis ball. If it continues to grow, it could ultimately affect his bowel movements and compress the anal canal making it difficult to defecate.

We’ve been through a process of trial and error with vet to vet trying to see what his mass could be. It took a third vet for them to finally tell us what he has. Last week he got radiographs and a CT scan and got told that his mass is called a lipoma and that they found an early stage inguinal hernia on his abdomen. My brother and I have been working together to cover his vet bills but now with a much larger cost, we are asking for any help we can get.

Snowball is 9 years old and has been with us since he was a puppy. He still has so much more life to live and we cannot fathom the idea of loosing him so soon.

Because it’s a delicate area to operate, his surgery is estimated to cost 6.5-7k, not including medications and post-surgery check-ups.

Nuestro perro de nombre Snowball tiene una masa en la parte trasera de su cuerpo y que ha crecido rápidamente al grado que tiene el mismo tamaño de una pelota de tenis. Si continúa creciendo la última instancia podría afectar sus evacuaciones intestinales y comprimir el canal anal, dificultando la desecación.

Hemos pasado por un proceso de prueba y error de veterinario en veterinario tratando de ver cuál podría ser la solución. La semana pasada le realizaron radiografías y una tomografía computarizada y los resultados arrojaron que es un lipoma y una hernia en etapa temprana. Mi hermano y yo hemos estado trabajando juntos para cubrir las facturas del veterinario, pero ahora con un costo mucho mayor.

Snowball tiene 9 años y lleva con nosotros desde que era un cachorro, aún le queda mucho tiempo de vida y no podemos concebir la idea de perderlo tan pronto. Debido que a que es un área delicado para operar se estima que su cirugía costará de 6.5 a 7 mil dólares sin incluir medicamentos ni controles post operativos.
