Help Alejandro Stay At Cary Ballet!

My name is Alejandro Prieto, I am 14 years old, and this is my second year training with Cary Ballet Conservatory's Professional Training Program. I came a long way from my family and life back home to be able to study with Cary Ballet, and I love it here!
A lot of costs come with studying dance full time so far from home. From travel costs and competitions, to shoes and costumes, the costs add up quickly. My family has put a lot on the line to give me this amazing opportunity and I am so thankful for every minute of it. Unfortunately some unforeseen costs have come up and I may not be able to stay to finish out the program.
My director, Mariaelena Ruiz, trained my brother Joan Sebastian Zamora. He starred in the documentary First Position, which they were both a part of. Now he is with the Joffrey Ballet so when the opportunity came, I did not hesitate to come train where she was.
Miss Mariaelena has helped me grow so much and gave me this idea, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I have already competed at YAGP and made it to the NYC finals with the Junior Ensemble. I also volunteer with our Plié All Day outreach program and love being able to help our youth learn more about dance.
I've had so many amazing moments here from my first "big lift" to mastering my double tours. Cary Ballet has become my home away from home and it would mean the world to me to be able to stay. I am so thankful to Cary Ballet for their training their support and for all the parents and my friends here, they mean the world to me!
