<div>Ser Fauna is a non-profit organization founded in 2010. We work in environmental education and the care of wildlife animals affected by traffic and urban accidents. We started with a small group of volunteers who are passionate about providing a solution to the problem of wildlife trafficking in our city. We launched our first educational campaign at the zoo gates and this was just the first of many activities over the years.

<div>By the commitment to take care of the fauna we decided to built the first temporary wildlife shelter in Santa Cruz with the collaboration of our city government, rescuing and releasing more than 1000 animals just in the first year of work.
</div>
<div>Over the time, we became a permanent shelter in order to hold and give a second life chance to the species affected by traffic, the loss of their habitat due to forest fires and the ones who can not go back to their wildlife because they are not capable to survive all alone. The first spot that we used was at the public university of our city in the Biology department. It was lent to us for some time and after that we moved around 4 times.

<div>This big project has gone beyond borders through volunteerism touching the life of many big-hearted people who were part of our shelter at some point. Part of the ser fauna organization is in France where we raise funds to feed our refugees and to purchase medical supplies.

<div>WHY DO WE WANT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ?

<div>In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, the wild animals shelter ‘Ser Fauna’ has become a home for the animals rescued from different dangerous situations. Our commitment to the protection and well-being of these living beings drives us to give them our best effort every day.
</div>
<div>However, we face a big problem: we do not have our own land, which forces us to move constantly, situation that led us to create this campaign designed to buy a permanent land. Unfortunately, time is not on our side as we need to move the facilities very urgently.
</div>
<div>This process not only involves moving cages and rebuilding them, but also generates a high level of stress in the animals, affecting their physical and emotional health.
</div>
<div>We need your help to change this reality. With your support, we will be able to buy our own land where 'Ser Fauna' can establish itself permanently. This space will be a safe and quiet sanctuary for the animals, allowing them to live in a more natural environment.

<div>QUI SOMMES NOUS ?

<div>Ser Fauna est une organisation à but non lucratif fondée en 2010. Nous travaillons pour l'éducation à l'environnement et pour la protection de la faune sauvage affectée par le trafic illégal et les accidents urbains. Nous avons commencé avec un petit groupe de volontaires passionnés pour proposer une solution à la problématique du trafic de faune de notre ville. Nous avons lancé notre première campagne éducative aux portes du parc zoologique et ce fut la première de nombreuses activités au fur et à mesure des années.

<div>Motivé par l'engagement que nous avions de prendre soin de la faune, nous avons décidé de créer le premier refuge temporaire de faune sauvage de Santa Cruz, en collaboration avec le gouvernement, en réussissant à sauver plus de 1000 animaux seulement en une année.
</div>
<div>Avec le temps, nous avons évolué en un refuge définitif avec pour but de recueillir et donner une seconde opportunité de vie aux espèces victimes du trafic, de la perte de leur habitat suite aux incendies forestiers et aux animaux ayant perdus la capacité de revenir à leur vie sauvage. Le premier espace dont nous avons bénéficié fut grâce à la section de biologie de l'Université publique de notre ville, elle nous fut prêter pour un temps, puis nous avons dû nous déplacer 4 fois.

<div>Ce grand projet est arrivé à dépasser les frontières à travers le volontariat, en touchant la vie de beaucoup de personnes au grand cœur qui firent parti à un moment de notre refuge.

<div>A Santa Cruz en Bolivie, le refuge pour animaux sauvages Ser Fauna s'est reconverti en une maison pour les animaux sauvés de différents situations de danger. Notre engagement pour la protection et le bien-être de ces êtres vivants nous poussent à leur donner jour après jour le meilleur de nous-même.

<div>Cependant, nous faisons face à un grand défis :nous n'avons pas de propre terrain, ce qui nous oblige à nous déplacer constamment, situation qui nous amène à créer cette campagne destinée à acheter un terrain définitif. Malheureusement le temps n'est pas de notre coté car nous devons déplacer les installations assez urgemment.

<div>Ce processus n'implique pas seulement de déplacer les environnements et de les reconstruire, il génère aussi un haut niveau de stress pour les animaux, affectant leur santé physique et psychologique.

<div>¿QUIENES SOMOS?

<div>Ser Fauna es una organización sin fines de lucro fundada el año 2010. Trabajamos en la educación ambiental y el cuidado de la fauna silvestre afectada por el tráfico y accidentes urbanos. Comenzamos con un pequeño grupo de voluntarios apasionados por dar una solución a la problemática del tráfico de fauna en nuestra ciudad. Lanzamos nuestra primera campaña educativa en puertas del zoológico y esta fue solo la primera de muchas actividades a lo largo de los años.

<div>Movidos por el compromiso que teníamos para cuidar de la fauna, decidimos crear el primer refugio temporal de Fauna Silvestre de Santa Cruz, en colaboración con la gobernación, llegando a rescatar y liberar más de 1000 animales solo el primer año.
</div>
<div>Con el tiempo, evolucionamos en un refugio definitivo con el fin de albergar y dar una segunda oportunidad de vida a las especies afectadas por el tráfico, la pérdida de su hábitat por los incendios forestales y especies que perdieran la capacidad regresar a vida silvestre. El primer espacio que usamos fue gracias a la carrera de Biología de la universidad pública de nuestra ciudad, se nos fue prestado por algún tiempo, por lo que nos mudamos alrededor de 4 veces.

<div>Este gran proyecto ha llegado a sobrepasar las fronteras por medio del voluntariado, tocando la vida de muchas personas de gran corazón que formaron parte en algún momento de nuestro refugio. Parte de la organización de Ser Fauna se encuentra en Francia recaudando fondos tanto para la alimentación de nuestros refugiados como para la compra de insumos médicos.
