Medical Treatment to Save Life

Former chief district officer (CDO) and a true servant of Nepal Government, Mr. Hem Raj Sapkota, has been in the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for over 140 days now. He suffered massive cardiac arrest triggered by choking but he miraculously survived. During this long difficult time he has been in five different hospital, twice in the ICU, twice in the ventilator, had pneumonia several times and was operated for tracheostomy (trach) and percutaneous  endoscopic gatrostomy (feeding tube inserted in stomach).

Fundings resources provided by family and limited insurance has given him life so far in there 140+ days. He is recovering but slowly and it takes a lot patience. He needs to be on long term rehabilitation center and occasionally on the hospital. He has a will to live and we just cannot let this son of Nepali motherland die due to the interruption in his medical treatment. 
We are the friends of Mr. Hem Raj Sapkota and his family. His wife Mrs. Geeta Devi Sapkota has pleaded for his continued medical care and so has his son Dr. Sanjeeb Sapkota who has been the true social worker and served in Nepali community for numerous years and is still serving. 
We have come together to begin this campaign to support the uninterrupted treatment of Mr. Hem Raj Sapkota so that he will go to the point of complete recovery.
