Smitten For Kittens! Spay & Neuter Fundraiser

ITS RAINING KITTENS! Our dear shelter partner, The Goathouse Refuge took in a tremendous amount of kittens this past season. Some with mothers, some without, some that needed bottle feeding, and some that even needed surgery. 

They stepped up and took in these desperate babies that had no where else to go. 

KITTENS ARE EXPENSIVE! They are a huge drain on a rescue's resources.  They require frequent vetting and vaccinations, and constant care to keep them healthy.  

The late Spring kitten season was MASSIVE, and money is tight.  These babies are now at the age where they are ready for their spay and neuter surgeries so that they can become eligible for adoption.  

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Goathouse Refuge has an AMAZING opportunity with local spay and neuter heroes, The Humane Society of the Piedmont Spay/Neuter Clinic, located in Greensboro, NC.  This clinic is INCREDIBLE! They offer their superb services at an unbeatable cost. We feel so fortunate to be able to use their outstanding clinic to help get kittens adoption ready. There are A LOT of kittens that we need to send to the clinic! Can you help?




The Details:

There are over 140 kittens at The Goathouse Refuge waiting to be spayed or neutered. They cannot be officially adopted until they receive this procedure. 

*Females cost $55 for spay
*Males cost $45 for neuter
*Rabies vaccinations through this clinic are $10 per cat! That is incredible!
 
What's more, The Humane Society of the Piedmont, will run a combo test FOR FREE when The Goathouse provides the tests (another cost for them). The combo test is what looks for FIV and FeLV in cats. 

They will even insert a provided microchip FOR FREE!

And the best part: they will take up to 20 cats at a time and PROVIDE ALL TRANSPORTATION to and from the refuge! This has made a huge difference in what is normally a logistics nightmare for a rescue. 

Of course, none of this would mean a thing if the kitties weren't receiving the absolute best of care. But the standard of care the kittens get at The Humane Society of the Piedmont is outstanding. We are so fortunate to be able to work with  this excellent organization.

Cat Tales Cat Cafe has been taking in and adopting out these little cuties faster than we can get kittens ready! There are adopters waiting to meet their forever kittens. We want to help our partner, The Goathouse Refuge, with this major expense. 

EVERY DOLLAR RAISED THROUGH THIS GOFUNDME WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE PIEDMONT, SPECIFICALLY FOR KITTEN VETTING!!!

The Goathouse Refuge took in these kittens when they needed help the most, and now lets help get these kitty babies across the finish line!
