Thank you for visiting our fertility fund website. For those of you who may not know, Jennifer was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 2009. Due to medical complications, she required a large number of abdominal surgeries over the past 5-6 years. These surgeries have created scar tissue and made it impossible for us to conceive a child naturally.
We have always wanted a family and we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make that dream come true. Although we are lucky to have Stella and John Borges (Jennifer's Parents) pay for Jennifer's excellent medical insurance and our first round of IVF, the costs of fertility treatments and procedures are only covered at a small portion. With the completion of our first round of IVF, we are thrilled to let everyone know, we currently have 6 fertilized embryos that have been frozen for us to use when we feel we are ready. Our doctor says they are all high grade embryos and all have matured. He believes we should have a baby in the batch somewhere!
We have decided we will proceed with our IVF journey and implant our first embryo in July of 2015! We are very excited and although we have 6 embryos, we will only be implanting one at a time. Unfortunately, there is no guaruntee that our embryo will attach and grow to full term. We may need to do the process multiple times before having an embryo that sticks. So, along with any donations we ask for your prayers and well wishes during this journey.
