Smith Family IVF Fund

When Eric and I decided we were ready to start our family, I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be easy. I had no evidence to back up my feelings, but my fears were confirmed last April when I started having tests done to determine what was going on. During my second medicated cycle, I decided it was time to go to a specialist to receive the proper monitoring and additional testing. I’ve gotten quite a few shots, even more blood draws and ultrasounds, and an MRI. At this point, I’ve done eight medicated cycles, including three IUIs. We’ve gotten to the point where it no longer makes sense to continue doing IUIs, and it’s time for us to go onto the next step, which is IVF.

Unfortunately, IVF is very expensive (around $15-$25,000 per cycle) and none of it is covered by insurance. We’re doing everything we can to save money and prepare, but we’re so ready to move onto the next step and hopefully get our baby here. As much as we wish we could pay for it all on our own, it’s such a huge burden on top of dealing with infertility and all that comes with it.

So here we are, humbly asking for help. This fundraiser is only to raise money for the medications required for an IVF cycle. If you’re able to donate to our IVF fund, we’d appreciate it more than you can ever know. If you aren’t able to donate, we’re just as grateful for your prayers. We’re so thankful for all the support thus far, and all the kindness shown to us even by those of you who had no idea what we were going through. We’re so lucky to have all of you in our lives!
