Derek’s Big Ride to Take a Bite Out of Dog Cancer

Hi, my name is Derek and I’m riding my bike from Kamloops to Quesnel and back to help raise money for the Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund, which raises money for dog cancer research. My ride will be over 4 days, August 10th and 11th and 15th and 16th. My ride is part of a dock diving event (August 12th - 14th) that has various activities to raise money for the charity, Smiling Blue Skies. EROMIT Acres/Eromit AIRcademy & K9 Sport Gear is a huge supporter of this charity and as an avid cyclist I wanted to participate in a different way. My two dogs compete in the annual Western Cup event at Eromit Acres and I hope my ride will help raise money as well as inspire others to challenge themselves. My ride will be about 830 kms, so a pledge of a nickel per kilometre would be $41.50 donation. Anything helps.
