Saving Smiley Miley - Support to Save Her Life!

Miley, whose shelter name was Gilda, was found as a stray & brought to Philly Animal Control back in January. Less than 10 days at the shelter, she was timestamped to be euthanized due to lack of space & because she was kennel stressed. Even with accumulating $700 in pledges for a rescue to pull her & save her life, no rescue did. By divine intervention, I was able to save her life on her final day, Monday, January 15th. I was hoping to provide her with the resources and additional time to find the forever home she truly deserves.
She is a lovebug, very smart, and is a sweetheart with any person she's met. Her past is a mystery. She is about 2 years old we think and based on how she looked when she was found, she likely endured a rough life during her most formative years. Consequently, Miley suffers from anxiety that can manifest as aggression when she sees other animals. Out of pure fear, she expresses an unusually high level of excitement & gets very overwhelmed when she encounters another dog.
Due to this, she was returned to me by the people I adopted her out to. For her own wellbeing and the safety of others, I have decided that Miley needs specialized behavioral training by a professional to help her overcome these fears.
Euthanasia is not something I want to even consider but it could be the hard reality we face if she’s unable to overcome her issues. I don’t know what Miley’s future will look like until she is evaluated by/working with a behavioral trainer.
I am trying to raise the funds for her training as soon as I can. I’ve consulted countless trainers and training programs to find a right fit for Miley’s needs. To get her started in a 2–4-week program asap, I need to figure out a way to fund it.
When I pulled her from the shelter, she was battling an upper respiratory infection and was very contagious, so she only had a record of 1 dog introduction- therefore, I hadn’t expected to be in the situation where her dog reactivity would lead us to this point. But we are here, and I’ve literally put my heart and soul into saving this dog. I cannot just give up on her now.
Please donate now so Miley can get started at a training facility and save her life! Miley and I will be so thankful for anyone who helps her get this chance.
