Smiles to Vietnam
Donation protected
Hi family and friends,
It's Naomi, I'm currently a high school junior studying in Japan. 2020 has been a tough year for many reasons; COVID-19 has made it be known that access to health is a huge factor in our everyday lives. With your help, I believe that we can change the world.
I am trying to raise funds for a project that I started called "Smiles to Vietnam" in order to send hygiene care packages containing toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other personal care products to children in Vietnam.

In the summer of 2019, I volunteered at a daycare center in Vietnam for two weeks teaching the children basic English vocabulary, how to count, and focused upon the importance of oral hygiene. We would show them how to brush their teeth and floss with songs and activities. Interacting with the 3 - 6 year olds everyday was such a blast, but whenever I saw them smile, their teeth were often rotting with large black holes. This pained me and pushed me to start a project that would benefit the children in their access to hygiene products that we often take for granted.
Support from these funds would not only help the children in Vietnam by relieving them from further pain and providing them with more accessible oral hygiene products, but will also help our communities to stress and support the importance of access to healthcare. The support from these funds will mean that I can make an impact on the health of others in a direct way, preparing me for what I wish to study in college – public health. It would be amazing if we could make a lasting impact on the health of these children together !!
These funds will go directly to purchasing the personal care products which will be delivered to a Project Abroad representative in Hanoi, which will then be dispersed to the hands of the children in regions near/in Hanoi such as Đội Cấn Ba Đình.

I would like to get this project up and running by the end of year, so it would be great if we could reach our fund goal by the end of 2020 !
I will feel truly honored if you were to contribute to my campaign by making a donation.
With your help, we'll be a step towards reducing the inequality and disparities in the access to healthcare in our world.
Let's do this together!!
